From coming up with the concept, styling the items, being consistent with the brand's tone, to shooting and final delivery of the pictures, I thoroughly enjoy the whole process of product and food photography.

During my freelance portrait commissions, I work with each client to deliver the photos and emotions that they want to convey for their end-use, whether that's modeling, social media, or prints to share with family and friends.

Location event photography is one of the most exciting styles that I shoot. Being on the sidelines shooting sports action photos lets me capture the varying emotions that athletes have during a high-intensity match.

South Carolina State Fair

The notorious wave swinger is an attraction that many people associate with non-stop fun at the fair. The South Carolina State Fair is held annually in Columbia, SC. The State Fair hosts thousands of people who enjoy games, rides, food, a circus, a petting zoo, and much more!

A ferris wheel at night depicts the glowing rainbow lights at the South Carolina State Fair. I used a slow shutter speed to capture a motion blur shot of the attraction.

A ring-tailed lemur looks directly into the camera at the State Fair petting zoo exhibit. The exotic animal was raised by the Commerford and Sons petting zoo, an attraction that’s been in business for over 50 years.
South Carolina Tattoo Shops

This detail shot shows the vibrant inks that the artists use at Devine Street Tattoo, the oldest tattoo studio in Columbia, South Carolina. The studio specializes in a specific style of tattooing called American Traditional, which is classified as tattoos that use bold outlines and saturated colors.

This overall shot shows the compositional technique of frame within a frame. This fishbowl mirror at DST gives clients the opportunity to marvel at their tattoos once they are done with their appointment.

Navy veteran Joe Nolan gets his sixth tattoo from DST. "I've been coming to Devine Street for years because I know I won't be disappointed with their work. Don't know why I chose the inner thigh this time; it's one of the most painful tattoos I've had," says Nolan.

Fanatink Tattoo client Ryan Slattery discusses the placement of his forearm tattoo with artist Sebastian Velez. This is Slattery's fourth appointment with Velez, and his first arm sleeve.

Velez peels the outline off of Slattery's arm. The outline ensures the proper placement of the tattoo and gives the artist a starting point for the design.

Velez, 22, has been tattooing professionally for three years and hopes to open up his own tattoo studio in the near future.

This extreme close-up shot shows the individual needles that pierce the skin with the tattoo ink. Velez specializes in black and white photorealism tattoos.
